The Railway Restaurant

Postby saz1885 on Sun Sep 30, 2007 8:14 pm

To Molesey experts everywhere,

Please can you help? My Great Great Grandfather's marriage certificate shows his occupation as the following:

"Manager: Railway Restaurant, Bridge Street, East Molesey"

I know that there is no such place as Bridge Street, and that it is in fact Bridge Road, but as for the exact location of my Railway Restaurant, is anybody able to shed any light?

My GG Grandfather's name was Herbert Whitehouse, and the date of the marriage certificate is 1894. Herbert was born in Eardisley, Herefordshire in 1868, and was husband to Fanny Alice (nee Knapp).

I would be eternally grateful for any help in finding records of any kind relating to 'The Railway Restaurant' in East Molesey, and will happily do my best to return the favour in any way that I can.

Many thanks.

Sarah
